For nearly two decades, he has attached his scores to films, television, and commercials all over the world. Andrew’s aesthetic explores the intersection between traditional recording and modern synthesis; encouraging an approach to score writing that is both emotionally engaging and cinematic.
Andrew has been creating soundtracks for Canadian and American independent films since 2010, along with scoring productions for TV networks such as Lifetime, SyFy, UK Channel 4 and more. He was the recipient of a Leo Award for his score in After the Sirens, a documentary following the front lines of B.C.’s paramedic units. Andrew composed the theme music to The Ryder Cup, the most popular golf tournament in the world, in both 2021 and 2025. Most recently, he completed the score for WildFire, a 5 part documentary series covering the high-stakes world of fighting wildfires in B.C. Canada.
Andrew has had further acclaim in the advertising world, garnering a Cannes Grand Prix Interactive award (2006) D&AD Golden Pencil(2005, 2010), Silver CLIO(2023), Bronze CLIO (2024), L.I.A.(2023) and many more over the years. He was the audio creative director on the Cannes Grand Prix winning advertising campaign – Dove: Evolution. He has scored hundreds of broadcast ads around the world, and his work has garnered millions of plays online. He is currently the creative director of Vapor Music – Vancouver.
Along with composition for motion picture, Andrew has presented his music in a live setting all over North America, including performances at DEMF Detroit, SONAR Chicago, and the Adler Planetarium. This was most often with his solo electronic project BARTEL, or a performance of a re-imagined film score.
